Create matching pairs exercises
Put the matching items in two columns — word and picture, number and quantity, question and answer — and let the pupil draw a line between them.
The line is drawn with a pen or a finger, and the exercise recognises the correct pairs on its own. Suits every subject, from languages to science.
How to create this exercise
- Choose how many pairs the page has.
- Choose the content for each side: text, image or audio.
- Fill in the pairs so that matching items sit on the same row.
- Write the instruction and add a rewarding animation image if you like.
Tip: Pairing an image with audio suits language teaching: the pupil links what they hear straight to the meaning, without a written word, so reading ability does not limit the task.
